Luna Balloona goes to India!
So, I'm sure some of you out there are wondering why I haven't posted in awhile, but I have some wonderful news! I've been hard at work illustrating some amazing stories for some awesome self-published writers. I'm only now able to post a few tidbits here to show and I will have more uploaded to my website very soon. :) Posted here I have the initial character sketch, storyboard thumbs, and the final cover for "Luna Balloona," a first in hopefully a series of sublime rhyme for children authored by Rebecca Altshuler. I will post more along with a link to her book's website as soon as that becomes available. Enjoy!

These are great! Your illustrations are always so sweet, and sort of nostalgic. (Well to me at least.)
The balloon reminds me of that short movie about two balloons that fall in love and are separated but in the end one of them finally gets loose and finds the other. Don't know if you've seen it, but it was really cute.
Thanks Karen! No, I don't remember that one, but I did see the "My Red Balloon" (sp?, a French short film) just before working on this one - so it probably influenced some of the character. :) If you have a link to that one I'd love to see it. :)
